First Letter from MTC

I'll be honest..the first 2-3 days of the MTC were terrible. Haha I was stressed out and I was sick to my stomach. I was homesick and I did not want to be here. But even in the darkest moments of the MTC, I came to know of Gods love for every single one of us. A week into the MTC now and I actually do love it! The spirit that is felt here is like no other spirit I have felt before. It's amazing! I wish you guys could just be a fly on the wall for a day!! My companions name is Elder Kody Killian! He is from Firth Idaho and he is a big time rancher! Haha his accent sounds like Cindy Stuart! lol he is a bit taller than me and he weighs a lot more than me too! Haha but he is really funny and him and I get along quite well! When I first met him last Wednesday he gave me like 1 word answers when I would talk to him.. but now he talks all the time and it is great! He also has narcolepsy. So he randomly falls asleep sometimes! Anyways, I am learning a ton and I love learning every day about the Savior Jesus Christ! There is a power in testifying of Jesus Christ that is
like no other. The food here has its days! Some days the food is good and some days I would rather go hungry then eat whatever they throw on my plate.. haha there are 10 elders in my District, and 6 sisters! I like every single one of them!   I am in a room with my companion and 2 other elders. Which is good because all the other dorms around us have 6 elders in them! The elders we room with are Elder James and Elder Christiansen. Elder James seems to know everything.. lol and I like him! He a funny little guy from Bluff dale Utah. Elder Christiansen is from Gilbert Arizona. Tuesday's will be my P-Days! And we have an hour of exercise time a day! And I usually just go play ball with this black elder in my district! His name is Elder Clayton! He is way chill and fun to be around! And yes I have seen both Austin and Hayden! I need to find them again to get a picture! I see Hayden 5 times a day! And Austin maybe once a day! I'm glad to hear the little boys are starting school! They needed something to do! ;) We have our first investigators also! One is named John.  He is an older guy! His wife died of breast cancer and wants to know why. We taught him about the plan of salvation! It was great to see the smile on his face. The other investigator we have is named Alexander! He is from Peru! Our lesson with him started off great! But half way through the lesson I could tell that we were starting to lose him. So I felt like my companion and I should bear our testimonies. As I started bearing my testimony to him I told him, how much the savior loved him. I testified of Jesus Christ being our Savior and made sure he knew that the Savior loved him. It was amazing to see tears fill his eyes. I won't forget it. I wrote this email at 6:30 this morning! We are about to go to the temple! I will write the rest of the family when I am done! I also have a ton of pictures to send you all! Thanks for the prayers sent my way. I can feel Gods love. That's for sure.

                  -love,  Elder Welling
