Great Week and New Car

Hey All,

How's everything going? I'm glad you all had a good week. Sounds like you are all going to have a party today! Lol

Well earlier this week.. We went over to the Hurley House. They are a family in our branch! While there we ate dinner and were talking for a bit, and then the kids asked me and Elder Munden to come play basketball with them for a little bit. So I agreed and went outside. Now note... It has been raining for weeks straight.. Anyways we are playing having a great time. Later in the game one of the kids asked if I could dunk it.. Well since I hadn't tried in a while, I thought I would give it a shot. So I go and try and dunk it and my foot steps right in a mud spot as I am about to take off the ground.. So my feet fly out from under me, and I land straight on my back in the mud. Oh yes, I was in my white shirt and all.. Hahaha so that was embarrassing. But ya live and ya learn I guess!

We have had an awesome week. With new transfers and all we have been able to work more and more with the branch and its so awesome. We had a branch splits night where we all met at the branch building and then just went out and visited people together!

We are not having so much of a cock roach problem anymore. We have an occasional few.. Like elder Munden found one in our fridge and one in our microwave. But now we are infested with ants and spiders. I think I want the roaches back.. Lol I hate ants and I hate spiders even more! They are everywhere and the ants are just annoying. But I do live in a West Virginia Trailer park so I'm getting tye full experience!

We drive clear to Ellicott City on Wednesday and dropped our little girl off (Pheobee) she was a good girl. She was a 2015 Chevy Equinox.. But then we picked up the 2018 Nissan Rogue and boy oh boy.. He is a beast. A sexy beast. His name is Pedro.. Elder Munden and I had a long and in depth conversation on what his car name should be.. And we came to the conclusion that he looked like a little Hispanic. So his name is Pedro!! Lol but this car is sooo nice. It's does everything I swear! It almost drives by itself! Haha it was about 7 hours of driving that day.. But it was worth it.

We did pick up one new investigator this week! It was awesome. We were knocking clear on the borders of our area.. And we found him! He is a really nice old guy. And he was super Open to hearing the message! So hopefully we get to Keep teaching him an all!

Well.. It's been a good week. And this week will be just as good! I hope you have a good week. Thanks for all you do. I love and miss you all!

Great Week and Baptisms

Hello All

How is everything going?? It looks like you all had a great week! I had a great weekend in Romney as well with Elder Munden. We had the opportunity to find one new investigator this week named Louisa. She's pretty awesome she's super curious about our church and how everything goes with that.

We also were able to go to Cumberland.. my old stomping grounds! While there I had the awesome opportunity to baptize Connor Whitford and also Joseph Hott!! It was so awesome to be able to do that! The experience was awesome. I was so happy when they called me and asked me to Come Back and Baptize them. When I got to the church I was able to see some of my favorite members up there and the boys were already in there white jumpsuits ready to go. They were sooooo excited to do it! Anyways I loved the experience and I was so happy they asked me to do it. I remember the night I found them back in November! And now they are getting baptized.  After the Baptism, the littlest boy Conner (9 yrs old) came up to his mom and I and his grandpa and said "This was the best decision I have ever made in my life!" it made me so happy when he said it!! But it was funny as well because he is only 9 and has made limited decisions. But he still made the decision to follow Jesus Christ and that is all that matters. Whether you are 9 or 45.. The same decision has to be made! Days like this make all the bad days on a mission worth it! The spirit was strong and I was privileged to help them on the path back to our Heavenly Father! Great experience!

Anyways, it has been raining here like crazy.. The green is really showing out here.. Lol. And all the flowers are coming out and everything. I love it. The humidity is starting to come back and that feels pretty weird!

This week has flown by. And it was the last week of transfers! We start another transfer on Wednesday! And this is President Christiansen's last transfer.. Which is super sad. But I'm excited for what the new president will do. The new mission president is in the process of getting his American visa today actually! He is bringing all 5 kids over!!

We are not having so many roaches anymore.. We are having huge freaking spiders now.. We will be walking through the trailer and a hug spider will be dangling from the web right in middle of the room!! Elder Munden almost walked into a huge one last night!

We have this guy in our trailer park that lives next door to us. And he always comes and knocks on our door telling us that he will mow our lawn. The hard part of it is that he always asks for 12.50$ in exchange. And that's every week. We don't really know how to tell him no.. Because we can't afford that. Hahaha but he names his prices and does it anyways.. So it will be interesting to see what happens with it.

Well everyone I am staying another transfer in Romney! I'm super excited to serve here one more with Elder Munden! We have good times together and laugh constantly. But we also get a lot of work done. The work is moving forward here and it has been amazing to see it move so rapidly!

 We just found out that we will be getting a new car for the Romney area! We are going Wednesday this week on the 23rd to get the new car!! I'm sad to see our car we have now (Pheobee) go.. But she was getting old! Lol

Thanks for all you do! I hit my 9 month mark this week! That's so crazy To me! In the next transfer and a half I will hit my year mark!! And then it's all down hill from there. It's going fast now and it's crazyyyyyyy. Anyways I hope you all have a great week and enjoy the summer that is Coming up here shortly! ;) have a great week! I love and miss you.

Hello All....

Hey Everyone!!

I hope you all had an awesome mother's day! I for sure did! We went to church, and then went home to change our clothes. After that we went to Dicks and talked with him for a bit. Then we Skyped our families and that was awesome!! I loved skyping you all so much! It made me so happy to see you all! You all look great. After that we had a mother's day cookout at dicks with some of his family and it was good as well!

I'm glad everyone at Grandma Welling’s enjoyed the video David made! It looked awesome. I got to watch it.

I'm sure Weston is glad to be going to Puerto Rico! He and I talk every Monday and he is doing great! Haha I'm sure he is excited to go to where he was called.

The snakes I held last week was at an investigators house here. They have about 6 pythons and then the little little one that I was holding and it was freaking cool! Hahaha they feel much weirder then I thought and we almost got to see him feed them live rats! But some were not hungry. Haha

Tell Caleb Happy Birthday for me this week! I can't believe he is going to be 13!! And he will be 14 when I get home! That's weird to think about. Haha

This Saturday is the Baptism for that family in Cumberland. So I will make sure I take lots of pictures. We have a member taking us and an investigator going with us.  I'm excited and honored that they asked me to do it. It makes everything worth it when you see someone come unto Christ and follow him. It's amazing the change that takes place. It's just proves that he lives and that he is aware of what we go through.

Thanks for the emails. I sure love them! It is strange to think that I am half done with all the Skype calls on my mission! I only have 2 more. That's weird to think about. Haha anyways I hope you have a great week! I love and miss you all!
